What is Threading?

Threading is an alternative to hot-waxing and plucking that involves using a cotton thread to grasp and pull unwanted facial hair. The twisting action of the thread traps the hair and lifts it out of the follicle. It’s a very gentle, sanitary, and painless way of removing unwanted facial Hair, that has been practiced for centuries among women in in India, China and other Eastern Countries.

Threading is a natural hair removal process that works on all types of skin: normal, sensitive, or damaged. With threading, hair is removed by row or individually. Thick or fine, dark or light, short or long hair can be removed straight out of the follicle. Threading can be used anywhere on the face and neck including eyebrows, upper lip, chin, forehead, sideburns, and the front and back of the neck. Hair re-growth becomes finer and more sparse after regular treatments. The procedure only takes 5-10 minutes and will last about 2-4 weeks.

This method of hair removal is more effective and less painful than tweezing & waxing. Unlike waxing, depilatory creams and laser treatments, with threading there is no risk of the delicate top layer of the skin being removed, tugged, or stretched. There is no risk of being burned with hot wax or being infected with bacteria from contaminated wax from previous clients. There is no sticky, mess left behind unlike with waxing.
